Speaking of fame and life in the eyes of the public, Lady Gaga said, "In many ways, I feel that I have lost everything."

Lady Gaga reviewed a particularly daunting audition.

The 35-year-old Gucci star admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that when she started to become a young actress, she did not always perform well in auditions.

In fact, she said, "My audition was terrible. I was terrible. I could never get a role. I was just stunned."

Gaga recalled making a callback for the LensCrafters ad. She didn't log in because she froze during this period: "I'll stand there and say,'Oh my God. Ah! You have to make this perfect. Me. I'm not proud of being my father."

Fast forward to today, the pop star won an Oscar (Best Original Song Award) and a Best Actress nomination after starring in the 2018 "Birth of a Star", and won a gold medal for appearing in the TV series "American Horror Story" Ball prize.

The "Rain on Me" singer told THR about the difficult trade-offs that come with fame and notoriety.

"When I decided to pursue my career the way I am now, I made a deal," she said. "I don't know what that deal will be, but it happened. In many ways, I feel I have lost everything."
